Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting a Sources Sought for WWVH Government Property Relocation at its radio station in Kekaha, Hawaii. This effort supports an ongoing facility renovation by requiring the relocation and temporary storage of government property. This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Responses are due by April 27, 2026.
Purpose and Scope
NIST requires contractor support to facilitate the relocation of government property from WWVH radio station buildings (B800, 800A) and surrounding grounds into contractor-provided storage containers. The property will be returned to the buildings upon completion of the renovation project.
Key aspects of the scope include:
- Storage Container Provision: Furnishing, delivering, installing, and later removing two (2) 20-foot unconditioned storage containers and one (1) 40-foot conditioned storage container. The 40-foot unit requires a 208V electrical connection, and all containers must include shelving.
- Property Relocation: Providing all labor and equipment to move government property from WWVH buildings/grounds into the containers, and subsequently moving it back into the buildings.
- Site Restoration: Removing electrical connections, patching/sealing penetrations, and restoring any damaged landscaping.
- Coordination: The contractor must coordinate all activities with the Government Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Contracting Officer (CO), NAVFAC Public Works, and the WWVH construction contractor.
