Scope of Work
The project involves the comprehensive replacement of flagpoles at both sites:
- Fort Washington Park (FOWA): Replace a collapsed reproduction flagpole with a new 95-foot replica timber flagpole, including associated mechanisms, lines, engineering, and construction of a new concrete foundation and sleeve. This portion must be completed by June 12, 2026.
- Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (FOMC): Replace the existing wooden flagpole, which includes supplying shoring, removing the old flagpole and platform, and installing a new flagpole with hardware. An optional item covers replacing the steel foundation casing and surrounding concrete. This portion must be completed by August 21, 2026, subject to funding availability.
