Amendment / Modification

• Posts Attachment B, which is the sign-in sheet from the pre-bid site visit.

• Posts Attachment C, which contains revised addendum documents.

• Extends the bid opening deadline from Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 10:00 CST to Monday, February 9, 2026, at 1:00 CST.

• The bid opening date and time have been changed.

• New attachments (A, B, and C) have been added.

• The deadline for submitting offers has been extended to February 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST.

Questions & Answers / Clarifications

• Asbestos and Lead Findings: The SOW references asbestos and lead findings, but specific spec sections and reports are not provided. The VA has conducted a parallel project that removed a large portion of asbestos in the crawlspace, and some may still exist on piping once walls are opened.
• Mold Remediation: Keynote 2.50 on Drawing AD111 mentions cleaning and treating ceiling tile and grid with biocide for mold. However, spec section 02 85 15, referenced for this task, is not included in the specifications.

• WP-1 Labeling: WP-1 will be relabeled as CR-1 in elevations and plans.
• Access Doors: Access doors may be needed in walls for MEP valves, requiring coordination with those disciplines, as there are no access doors in ceilings (all are ACT).
• ICRA Requirements: ICRA HEPA negative air exhaust must be vented directly outside, not returned to the hospital space or a return air duct.

These clarifications address potential ambiguities in the SOW, specifications, and drawings, providing necessary details for bidders to accurately prepare their proposals and understand project execution.
