Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive design-build services to install a dedicated cooling source for the MRI suite's AHU in Building 15. Key elements include:
- Installation of a new air-cooled nominal 30-ton electric chiller system with a remote condenser and buffer tank.
- Provision of chilled water to the existing MRI suite AHU, ensuring year-round cooling capability integrated with the existing Honeywell Building Automation System (BAS).
- Installation of new electrically actuated three-way flanged ball valves and manual isolation valves.
- Furnishing and installing six new 18,000 BTU/h chilled water surface-mounted fan coil units in the adjacent hallway, complete with piping, a circulating pump, and condensate collection.
- Design and construction of new concrete equipment pads for both the interior chiller and exterior condenser, including a 72-inch-high wire mesh fence around the outdoor unit.
- All necessary on-site investigations, engineering, construction drawings, submittals, labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment.
- Restoration of work areas to pre-construction conditions.
- Compliance with VA Design Manuals, specifications, NEC code, OSHA regulations, and a one-year warranty on workmanship and materials.

Special Requirements
