Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and supervision for the installation of conduit and CAT 6 cabling, including AP site preparation. Cabling must be terminated but not connected to switches. Work will be phased across the 5th, 4th, Lower, 1st, and 2nd floors, as well as trailers 507E, 516, and 517. Specific requirements include watertight armored conduit for trailer installations, with conduit runs buried 18 inches below the frost layer. All affected finishes must be repaired and painted to match existing conditions. The project requires adherence to VA Master Construction Specifications, federal, state, and local codes, and strict Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) protocols. Work may necessitate after-hours or weekend performance to minimize patient care impact. The Superintendent must be OSHA-30 certified, and the Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) must be a separate individual from the Superintendent/Quality Control Manager. The new FAR clause 52.222-90 (Addressing DEI Discrimination by Federal Contractors) and the Davis-Bacon Act apply. Fort Harrison is not part of this project.
