The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, services, and equipment to replace three existing Air Handling Units (AHUs 18, 20, and 22) with four new AHUs (AHU 20 will be replaced by 20A and 20K) and associated mechanical systems in Building 1 (Main Hospital). Key tasks include:
- Installation/replacement of electrical panel boards, breakers, cables, conduit, steam piping, chill water piping, and hydronic piping.
- Integration and programming of DDC upgrades, exhaust fans, and other control systems with the existing Building Automation System (BAS).
- Replacement of associated ducts, trunks, and Variable Air Volume (VAV) terminal boxes.
- Demolition, commissioning services, and field verification of all equipment and existing conditions.
- Implementation of a phasing plan to minimize impact on patient care, potentially requiring varied work hours (after 1700 weekdays and weekends).
- Installation, maintenance, and removal of infection control barriers.
