Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all resources to conduct a comprehensive survey of existing electrical manholes and duct banks. Key tasks include:
- Investigating twenty (20) specified electrical manholes (P7 through P20B), with potential for up to five (5) additional manholes.
- Visual inspection of electrical feeders, HV splices, and conduits.
- Identifying and documenting all spare conduits.
- Assessing cable bends, inspecting terminations, splices, and exposed cable sections for damage or overheating.
- Performing Infrared scans of all splices within manholes.
- Inspecting manholes for deterioration and mandreling spare conduits for suitability.
- Dewatering manholes and clearing drains as required.
Important Note: Feeders will be energized during the investigation, and manholes are confined spaces. Contractors must have appropriate training (NFPA 70E, Confined Space, OSHA 30/10 Hour) and PPE. A site walkthrough is mandatory for all prospective bidders.
