Scope of Work

- Removing contaminated soil exceeding applicable cleanup criteria.
- Conducting soil and groundwater sampling, soil screening, excavation sampling, soil stockpile sampling, and monitoring well installation/development/sampling.
- Delineating lateral and vertical extent of contamination using analytical sampling and field instruments (XRF, PID).
- Ensuring all activities comply with the most recent ADEC Field Sampling Guidance, Groundwater Sampling and Monitoring Wells Guidance, and EPA 40 CFR Part 265.16 for hazardous waste site training.
- Oversight by a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) as defined by 18 AAC 75.333.
Special Considerations: Yakutat is accessible only by boat and plane. Some investigation areas may require brush and tree clearing, and equipment access can be limited. A Building Permit from AK DOT is required for work at the Building 607 Area and Former Heavy Equipment Shop.
