Scope of Work
The requirement is for a UAS lidar scanner to be used by the USGS Geosciences and Environment Change Science Center (GECSC) and National Uncrewed Systems Office (NUSO). The scanner will be utilized for:
- Test and evaluation of UAS technology.
- Supporting drone applications in emergency response.
- Preservation of life, health, and safety initiatives.
- Knowledge transfer and informing the DOI UAS/drone community about cutting-edge lidar technology.
Key Requirements
Offerors must provide a YellowScan® Surveyor Ultra 3 & Single Camera Module 61MP (Brand Name or Equal) that meets or exceeds specific salient characteristics. These include:
- LiDAR Scanner: Integrated IMU, GPS, and RGB Camera; 905nm Class 1 Eye Safe Laser; >= 32 laser channels; precision <= 3 cm; accuracy <= 2.5 cm; 360-degree Field of View; measurement rate up to 640,000 measurements/second; >= 3 returns per measurement; laser range >= 300m.
- Camera: Integrated 61MP RGB camera.
- Physical & Operational: Operating temperature -10 to +40 degrees C; weight <= 1.46 kg; dimensions <= 153mm (L) x 113mm (W) x 117mm (H) (without camera).
- Accessories: Stand-alone battery power for minimum 1 hour, including at least 2 batteries, 1 charger, 2 USB flash drives, and 1 GPS antenna.
- Integration: Direct Dovetail Mount for specific UAVs.
- Support: Minimum 1-year warranty and maintenance.
