Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ) for one Yokogawa CV8000S High-Throughput Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope to replace the obsolete Yokogawa CV7000 microscope at the NCI High-Throughput Imaging Facility (HiTIF). The acquisition is sole source, with only Yokogawa Corporation of America eligible to respond. The purpose is to procure a new microscope to support high-throughput imaging assays for phenotypic screening, molecular dissection of cellular pathways, and live cell imaging.

• One (1) Yokogawa CV8000 Cell Voyager System and one (1) CV8000 Workstation.

• Minimum 12-month manufacturer's warranty and 12-month maintenance support services.

• Software Service and Updates to the latest versions of the CV8000 Control Software and Analysis Software.

• Specific technical requirements for the microscope, including:

  • Footprint: Max 1280 mm wide x 895 mm deep x 1450 mm high.
  • Dual, microlens-enhanced spinning disk scanning unit.
  • Minimum of 2 second-generation sCMOS cameras (4.0 Mpixels each).
  • Autofocus laser and image-based autofocus capabilities.
  • Environmental chamber with temperature, CO2, and humidity control (min. 72 hrs live cell imaging).
  • Capability to acquire non-binned images at a minimum of 5 fps.
  • Automated image registration and optical aberration correction.
  • Flat-field-image correction capabilities.
  • Integration with open-source image-analysis software (CellProfiler, ImageJ, Python).
  • Minimum 6 lenses (4X to 60X).
  • Minimum 4 excitation lasers (405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm) with 100mW power.
  • Accommodation for various well-plate formats (6- to 1536-well).
  • Capability to image samples up to 90 microns thick.
  • Brightfield and digital phase contrast modality for label-free imaging.
  • Accommodation for 4 microscopy slides per slide adapter.
  • Automated loading/unloading of multiple plates.

• Trade-in of one (1) existing Yokogawa Cell Voyager CV700S microscope.

• Compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

• Contract type: Firm-fixed-price.

• Period of Performance: To be completed at time of award.

• Delivery: Within 90 days of award.

• Installation: Within 2 weeks of delivery.

• Training: Within 7 business days after installation.

• Evaluation will include review of the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), and SAM Responsibility / Qualification.

• Offerors must submit one quote; partial quotes will not be accepted.

• Offeror's prices must be firm for at least 90 calendar days.

• Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov.

• This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns.

• Only Yokogawa Corporation of America is eligible to respond.

• Payment requests must be submitted electronically through the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform System (IPP).
