Scope of Work

This opportunity requires two primary services:

  • Cargo Fuel Tank Cleaning/Gas Freeing: Accomplish cleaning and gas-freeing services for six cargo fuel oil tanks on the vessel YON-305, including opening, ventilating, emptying, cleaning, drying, and maintaining each tank. This involves removing and disposing of waste liquid to a Government-provided conveyance, inspecting piping, coordinating with the ship's Damage Control Assistant (DCA), and installing new gaskets and fasteners for manhole covers.
  • Ship Alteration YON-0120D for Cargo Pump: Modify the cargo pump, its foundation, and associated piping in the pump room. Tasks include cleaning bilge areas to a gas/oil-free condition (per 29 CFR 1915 Subpart B), providing necessary equipment (pumps, hoses, spill kits), fabricating backing rings, performing shop hydrostatic testing, shaft alignment, and conducting operational tests. A Marine Chemist certificate is required.

Contract & Timeline
