This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a project to continue a gravel augmentation project in the lower Yuba River channel below Englebright Dam. The primary goal is to place suitable-sized spawning gravel to rehabilitate geomorphic processes and aquatic habitat, thereby improving the ecological functionality of the channel for anadromous salmonids (Central Valley spring-run Chinook salmon and Central Valley steelhead).

• Gravel Placement: Placement of approximately 5,000 short tons of a specified mix of gravel and cobble (0.25 – 5 inches in diameter) annually.

• Methodology: Primarily using a sluicing injection method, pumping a water-gravel slurry through an 8-inch flexible pipe.

• Location: The project area is the lower Yuba River channel between Englebright Dam and the junction with Deer Creek (Englebright Dam Reach).

• Water Truck Standby: Provide a 2,000-gallon water truck for fire suppression standby during the work window.

• Road Repair (Optional): Purchase and deliver 1,000 tons of ¼" road base and 900 tons of Asphaltic Concrete (A/C) if requested by the Operations Project Manager.

• Work Window: July 15th to September 1st annually. This is the only period the contractor has access to the project site.
