Siding must be durable against extreme temperatures, resisting warping, cracking, twisting, cupping, or fading, and should not require long-term re-staining. Preferred materials are engineered wood or fiber cement products (vinyl or natural wood are not preferred). The recommended color is Prairie Clay or a similar neutral earth tone.
• Repairs: Repair of rotten fascia and painting of the entire fascia and soffit to match trim color.
• Rodent Prevention: Removal and reinstallation or replacement of existing metal rodent prevention strips.
• Warranty: Provision of a warranty for all work performed.

Special Requirements

• The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials, equipment, tools, and labor.

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays, unless otherwise approved.
• Contractor must provide emergency contact information for all employees working on the Refuge.
• Contractor must protect Government property and restore any damaged areas.
• Inspections and acceptance will be determined by the Technical Coordinator and/or designated USFWS staff.
