• Executive Order (EO) 13706 (Paid Sick Leave): Applies to contracts awarded on or after January 1, 2017, requiring contractors to provide 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours annually.

• Executive Order 13658 (Minimum Wage): Generally applies to contracts awarded between January 1, 2015, and January 29, 2022 (and not renewed/extended after Jan 30, 2022). Requires a minimum wage of $13.30 per hour (or higher applicable rate) for 2025.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This project aims to replace 9 existing shade structures in the picnic areas of Chamizal National Memorial.

• Demolition and replacement of 9 total metal shade structures.

• Disassembly and removal of existing shade structures, including posts anchored in concrete.

• Restoration of any damaged concrete slab material, with saw cuts for uniform restoration.

• Installation of new shade structures, each with 4 steel posts set in concrete, 5 steel rafters, and 26-gauge steel roofing panels.

• Painting of the entire structural assembly with Behr Premium Semi-Gloss Direct-To-Metal paint.

• Installation of flashing around exposed sheet metal edges with a gap for drainage.

• Repair of damaged areas on 3 existing concrete pads.

• Removal of all waste and discarded material daily.

• Use of sustainable and environmentally friendly products is required.

• Minimize dust and fumes during construction.

• Protect surrounding areas from construction debris.

• Ensure safety of personnel and the public.

• Working hours are restricted to weekdays, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, unless otherwise approved. No work on National Park Service holidays or weekends without prior approval.
