Scope of Work
This project involves the installation of new UL-2085 listed, double-walled steel above-ground fuel storage tanks (1,000-gallon split for diesel/gasoline) with pumps and accessories, and the removal of existing fuel storage tanks and associated equipment. Work will be performed across multiple NWR locations:
- Conboy Lake NWR: Remove one 1,000-gallon split Convault tank; install one 1,000-gallon split Flameshield tank.
- Columbia NWR: Remove three concrete Convault tanks (two 1,000-gallon, one 500-gallon); install one 1,000-gallon split Flameshield tank.
- Hanford Reach National Monument ALE Reserve Unit: Remove two 1,000-gallon steel split tanks.
- General: Drain, store, and transfer fuel to new tanks.
- Optional Tasks: Removal of a 300-gallon used oil tank at Columbia NWR and installation of a prefabricated metal structure to cover new fuel tanks and existing propane tanks at Conboy Lake NWR. All work must comply with federal, state, and local laws, including RCRA, and requires obtaining necessary permits.
