PRESOLICITATION NOTICE

Project #659-19-101, to Replace Roof B5,

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salisbury, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project 659-19-101, to Replace Roof B5, for the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center (VAMC), 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury NC 28144.

This project will consist of, but not be limited to, the taking of a number of roof core samples as required to determine existing roof layers. The evaluation of the condition of roof surface, insulation, roof drains, leaders, curbs, flashing. The removal and replacement of identified damaged/wet insulation (to the exist. Deck) and recover the entire roof surface with cover board and KEE roof membrane as specified. The removal and replacement of flashings, boots, curbs, etc. The inspection and testing of existing drains. If not functioning, clear debris or replace. The installation of new roof insulation (where existing is removed), cover board, flashing, curbing (as required), and a warranted KEE membrane.

Estimated construction magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

This solicitation is anticipated to be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about May 13, 2019. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Bids will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation.
