Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

• Performance and Payment bonds will be required (100% each).

• Proposals must include SF-1442, Solicitation, Offer and Award (signed and dated, Blocks 14-20c completed), Price Schedule (Attachment 0004), and Section K representations/certifications.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The National Park Service (NPS) requires structural reinforcement and porch support installation at the MALU Birth Home project to address short-term stabilization measures.

• Wall Cap & Vertical Dowels: Remove existing masonry cap, drill into slab, install #4 vertical reinforcing bars, epoxy grout, grout masonry cells, and replace cap. Refer to Sketch SK1.

• Porch Posts: Install 4x4 pressure-treated wood posts (max 4'-0" spacing), 2x10 pressure-treated wood beams, connect beams to posts with screws, and set posts on concrete deck blocks. Ensure proper alignment and secure connections to existing porch framing. Refer to Sketch SK2.

• Completed structural reinforcement and porch support installation.

• Minimum 10 digital photos (JPEG) documenting before, during, and after phases, labeled by phase and submitted electronically.

• Compliance with International Building Code (IBC), local Atlanta building codes, and NPS standards.

• Licensed and insured general contractor with experience in masonry and structural reinforcement.

• Demonstrated experience with historic structures is preferred.

• Ability to comply with NPS preservation guidelines.

• Detailed pricing/bidding schedule (Labor, Materials, Equipment, Overhead, Total).
