Scope of Work
This project involves the comprehensive replacement of PCU #3 on the Visitor Center roof. Key tasks include:
- Removal and proper disposal of the existing 17.5-Ton PCU #3 and its associated appurtenances.
- Power washing the existing concrete pad (8’ wide x 11’-4” long x 5.5” high) in preparation for the new unit, ensuring proper containment and disposal of debris and water.
- Installation of a new 17.5-Ton Carrier Model PCU designed for rooftop applications in inclement weather. The new unit must be 208V, 3-Phase, 60 HZ, fit the existing concrete pad, and have return/supply ducts positioned at the rear facing the wall.
- Utilizing a crane with adequate load capacity and operating permits for placement, taking care to protect the building, grounds, and surrounding areas.
- Anchoring the new PCU to the concrete pad according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Replacement of all PCU appurtenances, including exterior supply and return air ducts, condensate drains, an outdoor air hood with manual damper package, and electrical power cable, panel, and controls.
- Replacement of the thermostat controller to ensure compatibility with the new PCU.
- Complete installation, connection, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning of the new PCU and appurtenances per manufacturer’s recommendations.
