All work, including mobilization, containment, removal, TEM air clearance, and demobilization, is to occur between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, or during 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM with prior approval to minimize impact on patient care.
Compliance and Accreditation:
- All work must adhere to applicable Federal, State, Local Regulations, and VA Directives.
- Post-removal air clearances must be analyzed by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and not exceed 70 structures per square millimeter.
- Abatement Designers, Supervisors, and Workers must be accredited by the North Carolina Health Hazard Control Unit (HHCU).
- An Asbestos Removal Permit from the HHCU is required if removing more than 160 sq ft of regulated material.
