This is a pre-solicitation notice for the Albany VAMC A Wing Façade Repair Project. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide labor and materials for repairs to the A wing, including minor work at the wing/Core interface and the B wing Chapel.

The scope of work includes:

• Repair/replacement of brick parapets and associated drainage.

• Selective roof repair.

• Remove/reinstall lightning protection cabling.

• Repair/replace roof equipment and supports.

• Repointing of brick and stone.

• Replacement of joint and window sealant.

• Repair/replacement of stone panels, coping, lintels, etc.

• Repair spalled and/or cracked concrete.

• Cleaning and painting of steel elements (doors, railings, etc.).

• Replacing and sealing masonry anchors.

• Cleaning of the building face.

• Removal of asbestos-containing material (interior and exterior).

• Replacement of windows.

• Repair of interior walls.

• Installation of flooring.

• The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

• A formal solicitation will be posted on or about August 3, 2026.
