This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is seeking qualified vendors to replace three (3) firetube boilers at the Durham VA Medical Center Campus. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal or quote, and no formal solicitation document currently exists.

• Replacement of three (3) firetube boilers.

• Removal and disposal of existing underground fuel-oil storage tanks and boilers.

• Installation of two temporary boilers during the replacement process, with a contingency plan for a trailer-mounted backup within 48 hours if a temporary boiler fails.

• Installation of a new sprinkler system in Buildings 7 (boiler plant) and 9 (chiller plant).

• Construction to be performed during VA working 1st shift (7 AM-3:30 PM, Mon-Fri).

• Utility work in parking lots to be performed during VA working 2nd shift (3 PM – 11:30 PM), phasing construction to return spaces to normal usage.

• Utility outages to be scheduled during second shift or weekends, with 4-weeks advance coordination with the VA COR.
