Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for the replacement of the Nutrition Food Services Ceiling at the VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) in Fresno, CA.

• Replacement of ceiling tile and ceiling grid in the Basement Scope – Nutrition Food Service (Patient Kitchen).

• Materials and labor are required for the replacement.

• The kitchen must remain functional during the work.

• The performance period is 45 days.

• Contractor must provide all necessary materials and labor, ensuring compliance with manufacturer's specifications and all applicable VA, local, state, and federal environmental/occupational safety laws, rules, and regulations.

• Work must be coordinated with the COR, and commencement requires approval.

• Normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, excluding Federal Holidays. Weekend or after-hours work requires prior authorization.

• Utility shutdown requests must be submitted in writing at least 21 days in advance.

• The contractor is responsible for all damages to property and shall hold the government harmless against any loss, cost, damage, claim, expense, or liability arising from the performance of the contract.

• The contractor is responsible for providing Workers Compensation, professional liability insurance, health examinations, income tax withholding, and Social Security payments for their personnel.

• Vendor must notify VA police and obtain a security badge, which must be worn visibly.

• Vendor employees must have company badges or identification visible.

• The vendor is responsible for safeguarding their equipment and information on government property but is not responsible for government equipment, information, or property.

• OI&T Security and accreditation requirements are not applicable; however, the vendor must not be required to interact with VA sensitive information, OI&T systems, or the VA OI&T network.
