Quality Assurance & Testing

- First Article Testing/Inspection: Mandatory, requiring Government approval of procedures and reports before production. This includes 100% examination, inspection, and testing, with specific radar reflective reduction, environmental, and electrical tests.
- Production Lot Testing/Inspection: Similar rigorous 100% examination, inspection, and testing for all production units.
- Data Submission: Crucially, quantitative (classified) electrical test results must not be submitted via WAWF to NSWCPD. Instead, these classified results must be submitted directly to NUWC Division Newport, RI, following specific shipping and contact guidelines. Only qualitative (unclassified) results are submitted to NSWCPD via WAWF.
- Objective Quality Evidence Records (OQEDs): Comprehensive documentation, including certified mill certifications, certificates of compliance/conformance, and various inspection reports, must be maintained and furnished.
