Scope of Work
The requirement is for a pull-type, flexible wing finish mower suitable for large, grassy areas, to be delivered to Eglin AFB, Duke Field. Key characteristics include:
- Configuration: Two (2) 48” wing decks and one (1) 60” center deck.
- Cut Width: Minimum 12' flexible wing finish mower, with a minimum 9" overlap between sections, resulting in a total cut width of 11' 6".
- Decks: Three (3) separate decks with minimum 0.179" (7-gauge) top deck sheet thickness and side frame depth of no less than 5.56" with minimum 0.179" thickness.
- Gearboxes: Four (4) total; one (1) input gearbox (min 100 HP rating) and one (1) per deck. Must have 10-year (gearboxes) and 3-year (spindles) limited warranties.
- Blades: Three (3) per deck, one-piece, .25” thick, heat-treated, high-grade alloy steel. Blade tip speed must be 18,000 ft/min at 540 RPM.
- Hydraulics: Two (2) single-acting 3” bore x 10” stroke cylinders for wing lift, and one (1) single-acting 3” bore x 8” stroke cylinder for center deck lift.
- Safety: Must comply with ASABE recommended coverage, LED lighting, SMV/SIS signage, and ANSI B71.4 thrown-object test.
- Delivery: Contractor must coordinate delivery with the Government POC at least one business day in advance. A certified sales representative must be present on-site for equipment setup and operational training.
