This document outlines the "Salient Characteristics" for a Woods TBW12.40 Turf Batwing Finish Mower, or a technically equivalent 'brand name or equal' mower deck. The government is procuring one (1) such mower.

• Mower Type: A pull-type, flexible wing finish mower suitable for large, grassy areas.

• Configuration: Must incorporate two (2) 48” wing decks and one (1) 60” center deck.

• Cut Width: Minimum 12' flexible wing finish mower, with a minimum 9" overlap between sections when wings are shifted closer to the trailer frame, resulting in a total cut width of 11' 6".

• Decks: Three (3) separate decks with a minimum 0.179" (7-gauge) top deck sheet thickness and a side frame depth of no less than 5.56" with minimum 0.179" thickness.

• Baffles: Fully baffled with minimum 0.135" thick high-strength steel baffles.

• Trailer: Constructed of square tube steel, minimum 4” x 4” x .25" thick for main frame elements.

• Gearboxes: Four (4) gearboxes total; one (1) input gearbox with a minimum 100 HP rating connected to the tractor PTO, and one (1) gearbox per deck. Gearboxes and spindles must have 10-year and 3-year limited warranties, respectively, including seals. Gearboxes must utilize ball bearings.

• Blades: Three (3) blades per deck, one-piece, .25” thick, heat-treated, high-grade alloy steel. Blade tip speed must be 18,000 ft/min at 540 RPM. Blades must rotate clockwise.

• Hydraulics: Two (2) single-acting 3” bore by 10” stroke cylinders for wing lift, and one (1) single-acting 3” bore by 8” stroke cylinder for center deck lift. Unit must be configured for a single hose with quick coupler.

• Wheels/Tires: Four (4) 15” x 6-6 pneumatic caster wheels on the wing decks, two (2) 15” x 6-6 pneumatic caster wheels on the center deck, and two (2) 20.5" x 8-10 highway tires on the trailer.

• Hitch: Floating clevis-type, ASABE category 1, drawbar mount.

• Jack: Retractable pin-on type, hand-operated, screw jack for attachment assistance.

• Safety: ASABE recommended coverage for gearbox and driveline shields, latching mechanisms for wing frames, ASABE compliant safety tow chain, LED turn and stop lighting, SMV and SIS signage. Mowers must comply with ANSI B71.4 thrown-object test and acceptance criteria.

• Delivery Location: Eglin AFB, Duke Field.

• Delivery Coordination: Contractor must coordinate delivery with the Government Point of Contact (POC) at least one business day in advance.

• Training: A certified sales representative must be present on-site for equipment setup and operational training at no additional cost. Failure to provide this is a mandatory requirement and will result in rejection of delivery.

• The government is requesting a 'brand name or equal' product, indicating that equivalent products may be considered.

• Several items are explicitly stated as "hard requirement, no exceptions."
