However, any company not currently approved may submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR) to the contracting officer by the solicitation's closing date. The SAR must include comprehensive documentation such as configuration drawings, process/operation sheets, purchase orders for similar items, a comparative analysis, and inspection method sheets.
