Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, tools, supplies, certifications, and transportation for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of designated kitchen ventilation, exhaust, make-up air, and heat recovery systems. Services include:
- Scheduled Cleanings: Monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual cleanings of kitchen hood and duct exhaust systems, including fans, roof areas, louvers, exterior walls, copulas, interior/exterior of hoods, grease filters, duct systems, and fire protection piping. Cleaning must remove all grease accumulation and adhere to NFPA 96 and OSHA standards.
- Inspections & Preventive Maintenance: Recurring inspections and preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, tightening, replacing parts, and washing down systems, following NFPA 96, OSHA, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Repairs: Identification and submission of recommended repairs for Government approval, including emergency repairs with a 4-hour response time. Cost associated with maintenance repairs, applicable reimbursable parts & materials, and wash down solutions are also covered.
- Special Requirements: Personnel must be certified by the International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) with a minimum of three years of experience. Compliance with OSHA, NFPA 96, and AFMAN 91-203 is mandatory. Digital photographs of pre- and post-cleaning conditions, inspection reports, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals are required.

Evaluation & Submission
