Key Requirements & Evaluation
Offerors must verify nomenclature, part number, and NSN before responding. A Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) is sought, and quotes must include the proposed RTAT. Failure to meet the required RTAT will incur a price reduction (amount unspecified) per unit per month. Government Source Inspection (GSI) is required at the repair facility. Consideration for award will only be given to authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item; proof of authorization on company letterhead is required with the offer. Sources of overhaul and repair for Navy Standard Titanium Fire Pumps (NSTFP) must be fully proficient, with a self-assessment covering facility/personnel expertise, access to drawings/procedures, repair parts, NAVSEA certified subcontractors for motor repair (if applicable), history with NSTFPs, testing capabilities (hydrostatic, flow/head curve), and a Quality Assurance system.
Additional Notes
All freight is FOB Origin and handled by the US Navy (CAV or Proxy CAV). Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) reporting is mandatory. If an asset is determined to be Beyond Repair (BR/BER), a negotiated T&E fee (not-to-exceed an unspecified amount) may apply, requiring written notification from DCMA Quality Assurance. DCMA will provide inspection and acceptance prior to shipment. Contractors must contact the Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) program for pick-up services.
