Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure and install one new 250 horsepower (HP) outboard engine with a 25-inch shaft on a government-provided 2019 23' Lake Assault Aluminum Patrol boat. This includes the engine, associated rigging, and labor for de-rigging the old engine and installing the new one.

The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision for a complete, turnkey engine replacement. All parts and components must be new.

• Engine: New, current model year, 250 HP, 25-inch shaft, Four-Stroke outboard engine from a reputable manufacturer.

• Rigging: New digital throttle and shift (DTS) or equivalent electronic controls, control box, key switch, main wiring harness, and necessary cabling.

• Instrumentation: New multi-function digital gauge(s) compatible with the engine, displaying key operational data.

• Propeller: New stainless-steel propeller, sized for optimal performance (contractor to recommend pitch and diameter).

• System Integration: Integrate the new engine with the vessel's existing hydraulic steering system, supplying any necessary fittings, hoses, or fluid.

• Fuel System: Connect to the existing fuel tank, including a new fuel/water separator filter.

• De-Rigging: Professionally remove and prepare for disposal the existing outboard engine, controls, and associated rigging.

• Transom Preparation: Inspect and prepare the vessel's transom, cleaning and sealing existing holes, and drilling new ones as needed.

• Engine Mounting: Mount the new engine using new stainless-steel hardware per manufacturer specifications.

• Rigging Installation: Route and connect all control cables, wiring harnesses, and fuel lines securely.

• System Testing: Conduct comprehensive operational tests, including flush hose and on-water tests, to ensure full functionality.

• Timeline: Work to be completed within 90 days from vessel delivery to the contractor's facility.
