Scope of Work

• Level 1: Reuse/clean discs, rework lower/upper-disc plates for minor defects.
• Level 2: Scrap and replace 30% of discs, clean salvageable discs, rework moderate damage on plates.
• Level 3: Scrap and replace 50%+ of discs, rework/re-machine significantly damaged but salvageable plates.
• Beyond Physical Repair (BPR): Item not repairable due to physical damage; requires DCMA concurrence and PCO disposition.
• Beyond Economic Repair (BER): Repair cost exceeds 80% of replacement price; requires DCMA concurrence and PCO authorization to proceed. The contractor must perform an initial evaluation to determine the appropriate LOR and notify the Contracting Officer and DCMA. The item is a Non-Aviation Critical Safety Item (CSI) and must be mercury-free.

Submission Requirements & Notes

• Offerors not the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) must provide the OEM's name, CAGE, and a signed letter of authorization as a distributor.
• Packaging at a different location requires facility name, address, and CAGE.
• This is a DO certified national defense order under DPAS.
• Offerors must provide an Estimated (EST) repair price for the full effort.
• Vendors have 90 days after carcass receipt to complete a Teardown & Evaluation (TD&E) and submit a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) quote.
• Quotes must include the cost of new (actual or estimated) for evaluation purposes and specify any exceptions (e.g., MIL-STD Packaging/Labeling).
• Repair price must cover all associated costs, including receipt, repair of unwhole/damaged material, and CAV Reporting.
• Required information in quotes: Teardown & Evaluation Rate, Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT), Throughput Constraint, and Induction Expiration Date.
• Only authorized distributors will be considered; proof required.
