Scope of Work

The requirement includes the supply of a 5-Axis CNC mill/lathe machine capable of machining components with a minimum diameter of 27" and length of 120". Key specifications include:

  • Lathe Spindles: Main (7" bore, 30 HP, 13" chuck) and Second (5" bore, 30 HP, 13" chuck).
  • Milling Spindle: Minimum 10,000 RPM, 30 HP, CAT 40 or CAPTO toolholders (C8 preferred), 70-tool magazine.
  • Additional Features: 3" bar work capability, automatic steady rest (3"-15" capacity), long drilling attachment (35" depth or greater), side discharge chip conveyor, integrated air filtration system.
  • CNC Software: Capable of 3.2 Performance requirements, compatible with Esprit CAM post-processor, PC/controller meeting Windows 11 Enterprise, Intel I7 CPU, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD, TPM 2.0 security. Wireless and photographic/audio recording capabilities must be disable-able.
  • Installation & Training: Contractor is responsible for offloading, moving, and installing the machine at Hill AFB, Building 847, and providing 4-5 days of on-site training.
  • Warranty: Minimum one-year standard parts and labor.
  • Compliance: Machine must comply with 29 CFR 1910 and AFOSH standards.

  • Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for most CLINs, Not Separately Priced (NSP) for CDRLs.
