Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all necessary tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor for monthly copper and hazardous waste decontamination, clean-up, removal, and disposal from the Combat Arms 25-meter indoor firing range (Bldg 1235, 747 12th Street). Key tasks include:
- Decontaminating and cleaning the range floor, firing platform, backstop plates, and areas behind the bullet trap.
- Removing copper dust and all debris (hazardous and nonhazardous).
- Replacing "skinny" barrels from the Dust Collection Unit (DCU) and Auger system (at least twice a year).
- Replacing DCU filters as needed.
- Utilizing an explosion-proof HEPA filtered vacuum for lead dust and nitro cellulose.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Missouri state regulations for cleaning, decontamination, and waste disposal. Hazardous waste removal must be manifested and signed by a 509 CES/CEIE Hazardous Waste Manager.
