Scope of Work
The Government requires one leased 55-Ton crane capable of lifting and hauling up to 60,000 lbs (with a range of 40,000-60,000 lbs specified in the Sources Sought document). This crane will be used for overhead lifting and movement of support items to ensure tanks are issued to the most current standard, as well as work involving the Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) system. Key technical specifications include continuous rotation, a boom extension up to 35 feet, an all-weather cab, all-wheel drive, 4-wheel steer, and a load limiting computer.
The contractor will be responsible for providing the crane, all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and all required lifting accessories (slings, hooks, cables). Additionally, an on-site training session must be provided, covering the crane's controls, operational features, startup/shutdown procedures, basic operation, and key safety considerations. Routine maintenance, including scheduled maintenance at 250 and 500-hour intervals, and emergency services within 48 hours of notification for inoperable cranes, are also required. The Government will provide crane operators, oversight, and utilities.
