Qualification & Quality Assurance

Qualified Manufacturer: To become a qualified manufacturer for specific cable assemblies (5W1, 5W2, 5W7, 5W8), contractors must manufacture and test two (2) of each IAW specification 53711-5894148, REV J.
Quality System: Contractors must maintain a quality system acceptable to the Government, in accordance with ISO 9001 (MIL-I-45208 also permitted).
Testing: Production Lot Approval and Production Lot Testing are required IAW DWG 5894148 REV J. Quality Conformance Inspection is also required, with reports per DD Form 1423.
Waivers: OTSI (CAGE: 0F1X1) is specifically waived from all CDRL requirements, including Production Lot Testing (PLT) and First Article Testing (FAT).
