Additional Notes
The VA states that the Fujifilm Synapse Cardiovascular PACS application is proprietary, and only the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) can provide the necessary upgrade content, compatibility, supervision, and support using OEM certified parts and technicians. Market research indicated no other vendors could work with the currently owned Cardiovascular Suite, and the VA and SBA Rules of Two cannot be met. Selecting another brand would lead to inconsistency, reduced communication and reliability, and require new, cost-prohibitive training.
