Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to replace FF&E within the IPU. Key tasks include:
- Replacing all Acoustical Ceiling Tiles (ACT) with gypsum ceilings, mental health grade panels, and tamper-resistant access panels.
- Replacing all patient-use plumbing fixtures and patient room doors with specialized hardware.
- Installing anti-ligature bottle filling stations in the D-wing and C-wing.
- Replacing the D-wing laundry area door with a built-in wicket door.
- Constructing two hard body impact-resistant walls to convert room 1D28 into a temporary isolation room. All work must comply with the Statement of Work (SOW), construction documents, drawings, and specifications, including OSHA, EPA, and federal/state environmental regulations. Detailed architectural drawings and comprehensive specifications are provided.

Additional Notes
Contractors must abide by all Safety, Security, and Infection Control Policies and Procedures of the Salt Lake City VAMC. This includes adhering to Pre-Construction Risk Assessment (PCRA), Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) protocols. A 1-year warranty is required on all items.
