Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Removal and Disposal: Removing all existing shelving units from walk-in freezers and refrigerators and disposing of them in accordance with federal, state, local, and VA requirements.
- Provision and Installation: Providing and installing new antimicrobial shelving units that meet detailed specifications. This includes:
- Twenty (20) Antimicrobial aluminum shelving units (24" W x 48" D x 73" H).
- Twenty-One (21) Stainless steel shelving units (48" W x 24" D x 63" H).
- Specific Characteristics: Shelving must feature louvered/embossed shelf design, donut bumpers, fall arresting bars, label holders, adjustable shelf heights and feet, and two braking swivel casters per unit. Units should be factory-assembled prior to shipping unless access prevents.
- Warranty: A minimum 10-year warranty against rust/corrosion is required.
- Site Cleanup: Removal of all packing materials from the VA facility.
