Sources Sought

This is a sources sought announcement to conduct market research for potential sources capable of retrofitting wire shelving at the Garner VA Outpatient Clinic in Garner, NC. No formal solicitation document is available at this time.

The government is seeking information on companies capable of retrofitting wire shelving.

• NAICS Code: 337215 - Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing (Size Standard: 500 employees).

• Response Requirements: Companies should provide their name and address, business size (large or small), identify socioeconomic categories (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned), and a brief description of qualifications demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement.

• Submission Deadline: Responses must be submitted in writing no later than 12:00 PM EST on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The objective is to retrofit the current HD solid shelving with wire shelving panels at the Garner VA Outpatient Clinic to meet fire code requirements for sprinkled water distribution, ensuring safe and efficient healthcare delivery.

• Provide brand name or equal wire shelving panels that meet or exceed the physical, functional, and performance characteristics of the "A1145D – Panel, Wire, HD Shelving – Space Saver" model.

• The wire panel must fit the existing HD shelving system.

• Quantity required: 265 panels.

• The equipment must be able to connect to the server in VA Durham Medical Center.

• All items must be delivered and/or installed after receipt of a purchase order.

• Vendor is responsible for offloading, moving to the correct location, uncrating/unboxing, trash removal, setup according to manufacturer specifications, and testing equipment to verify operational status.

• Equipment installation paperwork and warranty information must be provided to the government contact onsite.

• Vendor must comply with Wake County VA rules and regulations regarding COVID-19 and use their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Waste removal and proper disposal related to services provided are the contractor's responsibility.

• Delivery and receipt of items are anticipated after purchase order receipt.

• Delivery location: Garner VA Outpatient Clinic, 2700 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

• Delivery must be coordinated with VA COR POC Anthony Avery prior to any attempts.

• Normal duty hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays.

• Warranty: Standard manufacturer industry warranty term. Extended warranties requiring advance payment are not accepted.

• Security: Vendor must ensure adequate LAN/Internet, data, information, and system security in accordance with VA policies and NIST standards. Vendor personnel requiring access to VA computer systems must undergo a background investigation and receive favorable adjudication.

• Noncontract Charges: No services resulting in additional charges are permitted without prior Contracting Officer approval.

• Payment: Made upon receipt of a properly prepared invoice referencing the period, contract/PO number, and correct payment address.

• Shipping: All shipping costs for parts are included in the contract cost.
