Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)

This is a Sources Sought/RFI, not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 02 Network Contracting Office, is gathering information to identify potential qualified sources for "Dom Sud Bedroom Furniture" for the Northport VA Medical Center. The goal is to understand market capabilities and inform future acquisition decisions. A solicitation may be issued later.

• The VA is seeking sources capable of providing "Dom Sud Bedroom Furniture" that meets specific salient characteristics, with a preference for brand name or equal products.

• The VA prefers domestic (U.S. manufactured) content.

• Interested parties must demonstrate their ability to provide supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications.

• This RFI is for planning purposes only; responses are not offers and will not be used to form a binding contract.

• Pricing and capabilities information are encouraged for market research.

• This RFI seeks to determine the size classification of potential sources relative to NAICS code 337215 (Furniture Frames, Wood, Manufacturing), which has a size standard of 500 employees.

• Responders must indicate their business size status (SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, WOSB, Large Business, etc.) and whether they are considered small under the specified NAICS code.

• Company name, address, point of contact.

• Business size status and representations.

• Whether the company is a manufacturer, distributor, or equivalent.

• Information on designated distributors (if applicable).

• Details on alterations/modifications if an authorized distributor/reseller.

• Subcontracting plans and self-performance percentages.

• Existing federal contract information (FSS, GSA, NAC, NASA SEWP).

Statement of Work (SOW)

To replace broken bedroom furniture in the Dom SUD program at the VAMC Northport VA Medical Center to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulations.

• Purchase and installation of the following furniture items:

  • 4 BH Wardrobes
  • 4 BH beds
  • 4 BH drawers for wardrobes
  • 8 nightstands

• Furniture will be delivered and installed on the 2nd floor of Building 64.

• Items must be fully assembled and placed in specified rooms according to a provided floor plan.

• Vendor must provide a warranty for 10+ years, as per the Healthcare Furniture IDIQ contract.

• Phased shipments and 30-day storage are permitted if needed.

• Delivery within 90 days After Receipt of Order (ARO).

• Furniture must meet specific dimensions, materials (Oak Veneer over hardwood, plywood construction with UV Cured finish), and security requirements (sloped top, continuous hinge, tamper-proof screws, no locks).

• Invoices and inventory lists must include the VA purchase order (PO) number, which starts with '632'.

• Place of Performance: Northport VAMC, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768.

• Delivery within 90 days ARO.

• Furniture must not store any Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

• Specific models and configurations are detailed for wardrobes (left/right hinge), beds (offset right/left with 2 drawers), and nightstands (3-drawer and 2-drawer for inside wardrobe).

• Mattress and bedding are not included (NIC).
