The requirement is for an FDA-approved Radiology AI software platform utilizing advanced AI techniques and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) delivery models. Key aspects include:

  • Platform Integration: Seamless integration with VA EMHR, PACS, and radiology workflows.
  • AI Applications: Support for multiple AI applications, including but not limited to stroke triage (ICH, LVO, TBI), pulmonary embolism, bone fracture detection, cardiac calcium detection, and breast cancer detection. The platform must have the capability to add more applications.
  • Infrastructure: Cloud-based or on-premises solution with a Radiology AI Database and Processing node, compliant with DICOM & HL7.
  • Security & Compliance: Must comply with VA security directives, including Authority to Operate (ATO) with VA systems, FISMA, HIPAA, and VA Directives.
  • Deliverables: Project Management Plan, Monthly Progress Reports, Technical Kickoff Meeting Report, Monthly Usage Statistics Report, and a report on additional integrations for scalable use.
