- Quality System: Contractors must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (amplified herein) with calibration per ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. MIL-I-45208 with MIL-STD-45662 is an acceptable alternative.
- Certifications & Traceability: This is Level I/SUBSAFE material, requiring strict traceability from material to certification test reports and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE). Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis is required for certified parts. Electronic signatures on Level I certification documents are accepted if controlled and unique to the signer.
- Inspection & Acceptance: Government Quality Assurance (GQA) will be performed at the source. Contractors must notify DCMA. Certification data must be submitted to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard via WAWF (Ship to N50286, Inspect by N39040, Accept by N39040, email PORT_PTNH_WAWF_Notification@navy.mil). No material is to be shipped prior to acceptance.
