Scope of Work
This solicitation is for the supply of 1 1/2IPS X 1 1/2 -11 1/2 NPSH ADAPTER ASSEMBLY, manufactured in accordance with Electric Boat Drawing 2621-002-03, assembly 23A, sheet 23, and liability ERSTD-A1079. Key requirements include:
- Material for the adapter (piece 84A on drawing 2621-022-01) must be MIL-C-15726, UNS Alloy C71500.
- Non-Destructive Testing certifications for weld repair/production welds.
- Internal threads must be cut, not cold-formed.
- Prohibition of molybdenum disulfide thread lubricants; A-A-59004 anti-galling compound required.
- Strict configuration control, including procedures for waivers, deviations, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Material must be mercury-free.

Quality Assurance & Certifications
This is a "DX/DO" rated order under DPAS. Contractors must provide and maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208 as an alternate) and calibration systems per ISO-10012/ANSI-Z540.3/ISO-17025 (or MIL-STD-45662).
- Traceability: Essential for Level I/SUBSAFE systems, requiring unique identification numbers and material marking per MIL-STD-792.
- Material Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, with re-certification if material properties are altered. Electronic signatures are accepted under controlled processes.
- Welding: Procedures and qualification data must be submitted for review and approval prior to any production or repair welding.
