Quick Summary
The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of PEO IWS 2.0, has issued a Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) for the AN/SPY-6(V) Production. This RFI seeks industry feedback and capabilities for the future competitive award of a multi-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for "Build-to-Print" production of AN/SPY-6 radar variants. Feedback on the Draft RFP is due by May 29, 2026.
Scope of Work
This RFI covers the AN/SPY-6 radar variants, including the AN/SPY-6(V)1 (AMDR for DDG-51 FLT III), AN/SPY-6(V)4 (AMDR Backfit for DDG-51 FLT IIA), AN/SPY-6(V)2 (EASR Rotator for CVN, LHA, LPD), and AN/SPY-6(V)3 (EASR Fixed Face for CVN Ford, FFG(X)). The future IDIQ contract, anticipated as early as FY27 but no later than FY28, will focus on "Build-to-Print" production based on a Technical Data Package (TDP), with potential for technology refresh, obsolescence resolution, and development support. The Government intends to compete requirements for breakouts of specific Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) or subsystems, such as Digital Receiver/Exciter (DREX), Transmit/Receive Integrated Microwave Module (TRIMM), and Prime Power Equipment (PPE), as well as a Production Integrator role.

- Demonstrated ability to produce hardware according to detailed TDPs.
- Experience teaming with industry partners and cooperating with prime integrators.
- Experience maintaining fielded Navy hardware systems.
Submission & Access
Interested companies are invited to schedule one-on-one discussions to provide feedback. While written responses are not required (except for a capability statement and one-on-one request), optional written responses are accepted (not to exceed 30 pages). To access the Unclassified Bidder's Library (containing the Draft TDP and Draft RFP), companies must submit a signed Unclassified Terms of Use Agreement (updated April 21, 2026) and a current DD Form 2345. All RFI submissions must be UNCLASSIFIED. Future solicitations may include TOP SECRET/SCI classified attachments, requiring prime contractors to be U.S. companies capable of handling such information.
Additional Notes
This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. The Government seeks industry input on contracting strategies, potential subsystem breakouts, interest in specific LRUs, and considerations for a "production integrator" role. Questions regarding the RFI should be submitted via email to the listed contacts.
