Statement of Work (SOW)

To remove existing pavement markings and apply new airfield striping on the apron at Stratton Air National Guard Base, in accordance with applicable Department of War (DOW), Air Force, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

• Line Removal: Approximately 10,560 linear feet of existing pavement lines to be removed by grinding, with caution to avoid damaging the underlying asphalt.

• Striping Application (Exterior Apron):

  • Yellow Solid Lines (Towlines, Centerlines, Perimeter): 11,712 LF
  • Yellow Dashed Lines (Tip Clearance): 5,743 LF
  • Red & White Striped Lines ("Candy Cane" / ECP): 150 LF
  • Apron Boxes: Paint required white boxes as indicated on the drawing.

• Restricted Area Warning Signs (ECP Stencils): Paint eight (8) Restricted Area Warning signs on the apron pavement (two at each of the four "candy-cane" ECP entrances). Signs to be 3'x4' with text replicating standard AFVA 31-107. A custom stencil is to be fabricated and left with the Government.

• Striping Application (Interior Hangar):

  • Restricted Area Red Lines: 275 LF (4 inches wide)
  • "Candy Cane" ECP Lines: 34 LF (4 inches wide)
  • Surface preparation includes verifying paint compatibility, sanding/scuffing, cleaning, degreasing, priming, and applying a compatible two-part epoxy topcoat.

• Option 1: Reflective Media (Glass Beads): If exercised, apply reflective media to all exterior airfield markings and ECP signs, per UFC 3-260-04.

• Exterior Paint: Must meet military or FAA standards for airfield striping suitable for asphalt.

• Operational Coordination: Coordinate phasing with COR to minimize impact to flying operations.

• Security & Access: Comply with installation/facility access and local security policies. Background checks and AT Level I / OPSEC training required for personnel requiring access. Controlled substances are prohibited.

• Material Delivery: Coordinate all deliveries with the COR.
