Statement of Work (SOW)

To supply and apply 275 tons of magnesium chloride dust suppressant solution to dirt roads and parking areas within Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park.

• Roads include: Balanced Rock Boneyard Road and Salt Valley Road in Arches National Park; Cave Springs Road and Elephant Hill Road in Canyonlands National Park.

• Application rate: 0.25 gallons per square yard, with two applications required for a total of 0.5 gallons per square yard.

• Environmental restrictions: Do not spray within 25 feet of water bodies, into drainage courses, or on structures/vegetation. Do not apply during rain or if rain is expected within 24 hours, or when ambient temperature is below 40°F.

• No site visit tour will be conducted, but contractors are encouraged to inspect roads.

• Measurement will be by the ton, based on certified weigh tickets.
