Justification for Sole Source
FARO Technologies, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the sole owner of the proprietary technical data, internal firmware, diagnostic software, and adjustment algorithms required for factory-level calibration. Service by unauthorized third-party vendors would void existing manufacturer warranties. No other third-party providers are authorized or certified by the OEM to perform these services.
Response Information
This is not a Request for Proposal. However, the Government will consider capability statements from responsible sources received by the due date. Interested parties must provide documentation proving they are an OEM-authorized source with access to proprietary data and certified ability to perform services without voiding the existing warranty.
