Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To procure, replace, and repair equipment to restore heating capability to the JWing system at B500.

• Remove and dispose of the existing 25-gallon condensate return station.

• Install a new 25-gallon stainless steel condensate tank with duplex pumps of like capacity.

• Remove and replace the existing U-tube steam heat exchanger (HX) and associated piping with a new unit of like configuration and capacity.

• Replace steam traps on the steam HX and flash tank.

• Replace associated valves (gate, check), relief valve, pressure gauge, and strainer.

• Provide all required electrical connections, piping (Sch 80 on condensate side), and consumables (o-rings, gaskets, seals) for new equipment.

• Perform start-up testing to verify satisfactory installation and capability.

• Provide a 1-year warranty on labor and new materials.

• Clean up and dispose of all removed equipment and project waste off-Base.

• Work shall conform to applicable State, AFI, ETL, NFPA, and Unified Facility Criteria Standards.

• Work shall be completed in a neat, substantial, and competent manner.

• Contractor shall perform quality assurance activities conforming to ISO 9001.

• Work to be performed at the JWing system at B500.

• Contractor shall visit the site before starting work to verify existing conditions.

• Contractor shall be responsible for all Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) requirements.

• Contractor shall furnish all material, labor, transportation, equipment, tools, services, expertise, supervision, and incidentals.

• No alterations, additions, or deletions without prior approval.

• All personnel shall abide by industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and provide required PPE.

• Coordinate with the Government for system operation for testing.

• Government facilities will be occupied during construction; contractor shall not restrict pedestrian or vehicular traffic.

• Notify Contracting Officer's Representatives at least 15 calendar days in advance of any interruptions in building utilities/services.
