Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This project aims to replace supplies and equipment, including labor and transportation, to remove, install, and dispose of a broken sprinkler pipe at the Stock Ranch Barn within the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.

• Evaluation, removal, and disposal of existing damaged/leaking fire sprinkler piping in the Stock Ranch Barn.

• Replacement of specific piping sections: approximately 3 linear feet of piping affecting a valve on the 1st floor, and approximately 6 linear feet of piping (elbow and adjacent) on the 3rd floor.

• Removal and replacement of an air compressor (UL Listed).

• Complete system testing, including repair of any identified leaks or deficiencies.

• Provision of all OEM Manuals and Warranty documentation.

• Project Location: Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, 2408B KS HWY 177, Strong City, KS 66869.

• Period of Performance: Work must be completed within 30 calendar days of the start date provided on the Notice to Proceed. This period includes lead times, deliveries, installation, weather days, commissioning, and acceptance.

• Fire suppression systems must comply with IFC and applicable NFPA codes and standards.

• Installers must be state or municipal certified/licensed, hold NICET Level II (or higher), and be approved by the FCO.

• Contractors must coordinate with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for proposed locations, excavation times, and utility services.

• Work hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with exceptions requiring prior CO/COR approval.

• Strict adherence to park rules and regulations, including environmental protection and housekeeping standards.

• Submittals for approved equipment, including product data, must be provided electronically.

• A workmanship warranty of 1 year following acceptance is required.

• The project includes a Fire Sprinkler Acceptance Checklist for review and final acceptance by the FCO.
