Quick Summary
The General Services Administration (GSA), specifically the Supply Chain Management Contracting Division, is requesting industry feedback regarding Brand Name National Stock Numbers (NSNs). The purpose is to verify if the need described by existing Item Purchase Descriptions (IPDs) can only be met by the currently cited manufacturers, or if suitable substitute products from other manufacturers can meet the requirement. This is a Sources Sought notice for market research. Responses are due by February 24, 2026.
Scope of Work
GSA is seeking to add these items to contract for DoD customers. Prior to doing so, industry is asked to:
- Confirm or counter the requirement as described in the IPDs.
- Indicate if the listed manufacturer names and part numbers are the only ones that meet the requirement, or if viable substitute manufacturer names and part numbers can be offered.
- Complete the attached Excel template, filling in designated columns for industry feedback.
- Provide supporting documentation for all NSNs where a viable substitute is indicated.
