Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The government intends to award a contract to replace two (2) existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units at the Caliente Crew Quarters in Caliente, Nevada, as the current systems are not functioning properly.

• HVAC Replacement: Provide and install new HVAC units equivalent to the existing units (4-ton and 2.5-ton split system air conditioners, existing units are propane-fired) and compatible with the existing HVAC system components. The new units must be installed on the existing concrete pad using existing mounting infrastructure. Contractor must field verify all dimensions.

• Removal and Disposal: Remove and dispose of existing defective units off-site in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

• Ancillary Components: Provide and install two vertical economizers with necessary connections, two new thermostats, new gas and electrical connections, and new condensation drains.

• Permits and Warranty: Obtain any necessary permits. Provide a one-year parts and labor warranty, a three-year heat exchanger warranty, and a five-year compressor warranty.

• Equipment: Replace units with in-kind or equivalent equipment, installed per manufacturer's recommendations. Contractor to provide miscellaneous materials and equipment for installation, and may need to adjust framing or connections.

• System Verification: Start up and verify operations of the new systems, providing a technical demonstration to the COR. HVAC units must be Energy Star compliant.

• Period of Performance: 45 calendar days from the date of award.
